Dr. Florian Fiaux is a Research Director at the TerraCotta Lab, TerraCotta’s research arm. In this role, Dr. Fiaux uses quantitative methods to support TerraCotta’s proprietary investment processes.

Prior to joining TerraCotta, Dr. Fiaux was a research member of the Stanford Advanced Financial Technologies Laboratory (AFTLab) where he worked while pursuing his doctoral degree. His research focused on developing and applying state-of-the-art machine learning methods in finance to inform investment decisions.

Dr. Fiaux earned his Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University. He also holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Finance from CEMFI and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Geneva.
