Paul Hurlocker is the Managing Director of Data Science and Engineering at TerraCotta. He is responsible for developing and sustaining the data and machine learning platform that supports TerraCotta’s proprietary investment methodology.

Prior to joining TerraCotta, Mr. Hurlocker served as the Chief Technology Officer at Spring Oaks Capital where he was instrumental in building an enterprise-scale platform that utilizes machine learning to innovate the consumer engagement process in debt recovery. Prior to Spring Oaks Capital, he served as a VP, Software Engineering and leader of the Center for Machine Learning (C4ML) at Capital One where he oversaw the firm’s machine learning platform, tools, libraries, and R&D efforts. He joined Capital One through the acquisition of Notch, an AI focused consulting firm he co-founded and led.

Mr. Hurlocker received his MS in Data Science from Northwestern University.
